She loves colour and loves to work big. She always begins with a texturized background that gives added depth and dimension to the vibrant colours. The colourful abstracted background is layered and blended and spritzed and scraped. Kareen’s love of abstracts evolved into combining abstract with realism. She finds inspiration from the textured colourful backgrounds and adds trees, florals, or landscapes. Kareen started painting her signature colourful birch trees at a time of change.
